Hello world! I have never blogged before and was inspired to finally do so after reading a friend's. I have been a stay at home mom going on my third year and am feeling a bit under challenged. I am a minister by training and long for my pre-children job and responsibilities. Perhaps the thing I miss most is preaching...so I will preach to myself on this site and to anyone else who cares to read it. I will preach about everyday stuff -- my daily struggles to be faithful, to be a loving mother, to not throw my hands up in the air and scream "I QUIT!" I will preach about where I happen find strength and just the sheer frustration of not being able to find it exactly when and where I need it. I will preach about the challenges of being wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and disciple. I suppose I will preach about life...my life and I will look for God in an attempt to make sense of all that I encounter. (Note: When writing about God I will use the pronouns Him and Her (He and She) not as a political statement but because I truly think of God's nature differently at times depending on when and where I find him/her. It is an honest attempt to recognize the dual nature of the Divine living and breathing in this world.)
So there it is -- my mission statement with regards to this blog. May God bless this site and all who happen to stumble upon it.
